Uploading Content
Supported Content Types
The Knowledge Library accepts two primary content types:
1. Files
- Documents (PDF, DOC, DOCX, TXT)
- Spreadsheets (XLS, XLSX, CSV)
- Presentations (PPT, PPTX)
- Images with text content
- Other structured data formats
2. Web Links
- Individual URLs
- Bulk URL upload
- Website crawling capabilities
- YouTube videos and other media links
Upload Process
1. Access Upload Interface
- Navigate to your library
- Click the "Upload Data" button
- Choose between "Web Links" or "Files" tabs
2. For Web Links
- Enter the URL in the provided field
- Add an optional description for context
- Use "Add Another URL" for multiple links
- Configure crawling options (Single page or full site)
- Click "Start Crawling" to begin processing
3. For Files
- Drag and drop files into the upload area
- Or click to browse and select files
- Monitor upload progress
- Wait for processing completion
Processing Status
All uploaded content goes through several stages:
- Upload: Content is received by the system
- Processing: Content is analyzed and vectorized
- Completed: Content is ready for AI interactions
- Error: Issues encountered during processing
Best Practices
- File Organization: Use descriptive filenames and organize content logically
- Content Quality: Ensure documents are well-structured and readable
- Regular Updates: Keep content current and remove outdated information
- Batch Processing: Upload related content together for better context
